The US has announced a $1 billion security package for Ukraine as it prepares for a possible Russian offensive in the east of the country.
The package includes artillery, armoured vehicles and drones, and brings the total US security assistance to Ukraine to more than $2 billion since Russia invaded in February.
The announcement came as US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone on Friday.
